That’s because it doesn’t have stabilization

Messing with the camera rn, it feels awesome. Looking for stabilization mode for photos but can't seem to find it.
I really don't understand how a digital stabilization would work for stills. As far as I understand, in video mode, digital stab applies a dynamic crop that can be moved within the image to compensate for the shaking. It will prevent the picture from jumping but won't allow for a superior sharpness of the individual frames. Correct me if I'm wrong guys.
Sony's Active SteadyShot feature:
The man in the B&H video @5:15 marker says something like "while this camera [ RX1R III] doesn't have IBIS, it does have Sony's Active SteadyShot...for both Photo and Video." He referred to it as "electronic stabilization" w/ a slight crop and clearly says he can use it for stills as well. He presents a handheld photo @ 5:36 in the video taken at 1/5 shutter speed calling it "somewhat long exposure" as an example.
I never realized Sony's Active SteadyShot could also be used for stills...interesting.
**Edit: Never mind, apparently the Active SteadyShot feature or "electronic stabilization" described in this video was an error and has since been removed.
