Re: Adapter for Sony E mount lens - how well do they work?
I have been using the Viltrox E-Z AF Lens Mount Adapter (Sony E to Nikon Z) with a Sony FE 400-800mm f/6.3-8 G OSS Lens (Sony E) on both a Nikon Z8 and Z9 for about a month now, and am very happy with the results. From my experience the AF speed and accuracy are much better than I expected and seem very close to native Nikon glass.
Some users have commented on the fit of the Viltrox, but my copy fits both the Z8 and Z9 very well with minimal play, and with even the Sony lens mounted there is no perceptible movement.
I did some testing on the Sony 100-400mm and that also worked well.
