This is the last portrait I took of my 17 year 3 month old amazingly sweet boy Nate. The evening backlight was nice and the Viltrox 135/1.8 did its thing. Little did I know that five weeks later we would have to say goodbye to him, on July 18, due to aggressive cancer that was just discovered. He will be sorely missed 😻

Sadly we had to say goodbye to our sweet boy Nate on July 18 due to aggressive cancer that was just discovered. He will be sorely missed - Nate was the light and joy of our home for 17 years and 3 months. Last month on a summer evening he struck a pose for me while the backlight was nice, and the wonderful Viltrox 135mm f/1.8 did its thing.

Re: The Alt and Mirrorless Monthly Competition #156
Congrats to Ruthenium and TNcasual!
EDIT July 20: sadly we had to say goodbye to Nate on July 18 due to aggressive cancer that was just discovered. He will be sorely missed. He was the light and joy of our home.

My old boy Nate going on 18 hasn’t been the same since his brother Max passed in October, he seems to have separation anxiety unless I am with him. Last month on a summer evening he struck a pose for me while the backlight was sweet, and the wonderful Viltrox 135mm f/1.8 did its thing.
