Hi Morris,
Actually the only animal in this images that did notice me were the spotted hyena. For the color photo I was stopped on the side on the road looking at a map when I heard some noise, and looked down the embankment and saw her looking right at me. She was maybe 20 yards away at most. For the B&W one I was driving down the road and stop because she was walking straight down the road towards me - I stopped and she walked right by me looking at me.
The leopard straight on, lion cub, etc. all were at a distance of greater than 70 yards. In fact the B&W of the leopard was across a river and high up and was totally backlit - it clearly has the impression he was staring at me but honestly at that distance it was more just pure luck and a lot of shots taken.
I added the metadata for each image.
