Yes, it happens. I don't feel like it ruined any of these photos though, and at this point in my career I don't let things like that cause me to scrap an otherwise good photo. Number 3 however doesn't have any elbows cropped off. 1 and 2 have the same crop, so I would be interested to know why it's odd in one and not the other for you.
