I was also looking for an 85mm for my Sony cameras. I rented the GMII and shot it side by side with my Canons. I live in a wooded area, and my typical background is dense vegetation either with leaves or without, depending on the season. The Sony produced the busiest bokeh to my taste. It looks like we're on the same quest.

My kiddo couldn't stay still for like 30s () so there is a background difference between the Sony and Canons. But the perspective and distance are the same.
