You can't compare the image quality of a lens mounted on a camera without color filter array (CFA) to the image quality on a Sony body. The lack of CFA implies: i) less noise (CFAs absorb some incoming light), ii) higher resolution for a given pixel count (no interpolation to produce a full-color image).
For sure, the 28 mm f/1.7 ASPH is an excellent lens, and to get same results on a CFA sensor as on Q2M, you'd need a significantly better lens. A higher res (60 Mpix) sensor wouldn't work, due to the lower signal-to-noise ratio.
If you can survive with MF, wait for the CV 28/2 Apo-Lanthar in E-mount and wait to see how it performs. I bet it won't perform on Sony like the 28/1.7 ASPH does on a 47Mpix monochrome sensor.
