For the record I shoot both Sony and OM. Love the 150-400 Oly 4.5 lens but am underwhelmed by the OM-1 compared to the A1 II.
The A1 II is so good that it feels like cheating. The OM-1 is pretty good but needs a resolution bump and is not on par with the A1 II for subject recognition and tracking. Love the Precapture for sure and that was a driver for the A1 II.
I hope that OM somehow gets off of the 20mp they have been stuck on for quite some time.
Time will tell on the 400-800. I'm not ready to dump the 200-600 yet and don't want to lug around the 600F4.
I do with that Sony had come out with a long faster zoom with a built in TC. Flipping the lever for the extra reach on the OM zoom is awesome.
