Therefore, the initial shipment mistakenly contained the wrong item, which had the same hood as the original product. Based on my understanding, Leica has acknowledged the error and intends to send the appropriately redesigned hood to previous 35/1.4 Steel Rim owners.
Continuing to make my way through this excellent thread. You really can’t make this stuff up. Thanks to Fire, and others, for the diligence and reporting.
