A family video of a trip last fall to Disney world. All the initial ride videos are r5ii. Clips after were shot with the s35 red v raptor.
Wonderful family video, Howard. Great memories for years and years to come!
How would you compare the R5ii and the RED? What lens(es) were on the RED?
Cheers,
Rudy
Thanks to you and everyone for the kind words. My big reason for getting the R5 ii was better video. The goal was to have one camera for stills and video to make life easier for me. Lugging around the RED and my R5ii with the 28-70 F/2 is no fun. I really like the image quality out of the R5 ii. I can get really good quality out of it and can get it to closely match the RED. But even with that, I just love image from the RED. It's not a massive difference, but the dynamic range, texture, and color are just a notch above the canon. But I'd say the R5ii gets me about 90% there. In good light it might be a little harder to tell the difference between the two. The main lens used on the RED was the Laowa Argus 18mm T/1. So a 24mm FF equivalent.
