In terms of image quality is the R1 any better than the R3 or it’s about the same? Because the autofocus might be a little better on the R1 but it’s worth the buy??

The image quality of the photos posted on this thread look no better to me than those posted from many previous models in the last ten years. JMO.

I agree! IQ has hit a plateau in my opinion and we only see incremental improvements in noise. Want better IQ? Time to go to medium format. I watched a comparison on the Hasselblad XD2 and R5, and it was shocking what that sensor can capture as far as color and detail. Too bad it cost a bajillion dollars and is slower than sloth from Ice Age
I do love my R1 though
Get the Fuji instead of the Hasselblad?
Regarding R1 image quality vs anything else 24MP... it's not going to be noticeable to anyone other than pixel peeping photographers. And even then, it's splitting hairs. Compared to my R6II experience, I did have the impression that the R1 was very slightly sharper at the pixel level, but is otherwise irrelevant for real world image use. That said, the R1 was a vastly superior camera to USE for what I photograph, compared to anything I've used from the last ten years. As I've commented before, the user experience for me is a higher priority than sheer image quality and is the primary reason I'd entertain getting the R1 over a higher MP camera.
Therefore my 2¢ is that if you want the absolute best user experience from Canon currently available, it's the R1. Is that worth paying 2x more than a discounted or used R3? That's your decisions.
