The magnification of 0.23x (>=15 cm objects can fill the frame) on a f/2 is significant.

Lenses like the 65/2i are at the 0.15x level (>= 24cm objects can fill the frame) which is considerably worse for certain kinds of shots

Granted the lens only gets this magnification at 70mm, but that’s fine. Zooming in to get better magnification is intuitive enough.

It’s a pity the lens is softer at mfd though
