I have a Q3 43 on the way, which I expect will become my daily carry. The Zf will become my manual-focus / wide-angle camera.
My initial inclination is to keep my Zf, but go from four to two MF lenses.
My list of MF lenses:
Voigtlander 35mm f2 APO
Voigtlander 50mm f2 APO
Voigtlander 40mm f1.2
Thypoch Simera 28mm f1.4
At first, I was thinking that I’d keep the Thypoch and the 35mm APO…
But now I’m thinking it might be best to part with the two APO lenses, given the APO 43 on the incoming Q… leaving me with the two lenses (28 and 40) that I’d say exhibit the most “character” and one that has allows for extremely shallow depth-of-field.
I’d be sad to see the two APO Voigtlanders go, so I may hold on to them for a while… make sure the 43 is for me… especially given how difficult it would be to get them back.
To get my head around the utility/viability of the new Q3, I went out the past couple of days exclusively with my 40 1.2, and I was quickly reminded of how much I enjoy this lens.
