Curated trash, that's a great explainer for the feeling I get in the rare occasions I go to one of these. You can get interesting pics out of it though, like you've shown.

Ray,
The way I look at it - a stylist arranged the products for free - then disappeared with the marketing director, sales rep,etc to let me do my job - hassle free. When many chiefs are in the kitchen - rarely are the results good - 99% of my marketing/advertising career I got left alone to have complete control - following a written brief. When on rare occasions the stylist, advertising director, press sales rep, company owner, family of the model (I could go on) showed up - my policy was keep my mouth shut and shoot everything they asked me to do. These are the only times I actually got into trouble, because I didn't share my opinion about what they wanted. I'd even offer, but they were not interested in my opinion - only to have my department head say "you should have told them it was an idiotic idea". I laughed and laughed at that one, because I likely would have been fired for speaking to a large account or advertising agency like that. These antique stores are all per-arranged by elves I never get to see or hear. No drama, no angst. It is like shooting fish in a barrel - moving from setup to setup.
