Honestly I doubt he used the top 20D ss, even, maybe 1/2000 is my guess
Probably even lower, as we can't see the bullet, only the trail.
The photographer published the meta data but I can’t find it now.
I think that it was an a1 with a 24mm at f1.6, ISO100 if I am not mistaken shutter speed was quite high, I think 1/8,000s.

You are right, it was confirmed 1/8000. With 1/80000, there would still only be a trail, but shorter. So Mike will conclude that the 20D would be the better camera for this shot anyway
Certainly yes. And the 20D has legendary DR as well. And it’s AF is still clearly ahead of anything Sony and Nikon (why even mention Nikon?) ever did.
I hear that AP just read this thread and decided to dump their A1s and move to 20Ds instead. The CEO of AP was heard saying “that Mike guy is something else”.
