Rumored Sony cameras for late 2024 and 2025 - A6900
Now that Canon has finally released the EOS R5 II, EOS R1, and R6 II and Nikon has put their Z6III out Sony knows what the need to do to leapfrog their competitors. Even the APS-C market the know what’s needed and we are starting to see rumor posts and video on proposed cameras like the A6900, A7V, A1 II, FX-30 II, FX-3 II, and A7SIV.
I’d like to discuss briefly about the A6900 rumored to be a 40+ Mpixel APS-C camera. Do others think Sony will chase Fuji into this space? It intrigues me even though the A7CR also appears to covers this territory. The APS-C could offer a lower price point though. Of course adding or updating E- mount APS-C lenses to handle this resolution is needed too. Do you think we will see such a camera? If they were to create it would anyone be interested? I believe the Viktrox f/1.2 Pro lenses like the 27mm and 75mm would be great for this type of camera.
Share your thoughts. Also if there are other rumored Sony bodies you would like to see feel free to mention them like the A1 II. Take care.
