I've observed an increasing trend toward dichotomous viewpoints in discussions.
It seems that the vast majority of humans like to reduce everything to binary choices, and not deal with shades of gray. The fact that practically everything in life is replete with many shades of gray don't seem to affect that "need" to see things as binary.
