I feel ya, you have a very sharp 500 I lens. I had that lens before going to the II version. I was fixing to do the same and still may. But, I think I will try the R5Ii first. I am shooting with the 7DII. So, I have not been satisfied with Canon for years. But, I want to try a mirrorless before switching. I'm a tightwad and want to explore all the options before I switch.
