Nice Douglas...That cloud below the F-16 looks almost like it's from it, be kool getting a pix of it going thru it.
.
Just got the camera and one lens yesterday, will try it out this weekend. Gotta find a few smaller lens to buy for it as well pretty soon. It's funny how different Sony and Canon are, buttons, batteries, cards, chargers, etc, etc.
That a7RV has a gazillion settings as well, geesh...Wish it were all camera and no video, imagine how that would be. And the 61 mp files are crazy huge and color, most flower test shots were raw at 128 megs.

Why do you get 128 meg files? Pixel shift?? I have never used that feature. If you choose lossless compressed raw, you should be getting about 61MP raw files. Or did you use uncompressed raw?

Uncompressed. I did change it down a little after that.

There may be something I don't know about but I don't see a good reason to use uncompressed raw over lossless compressed raw, it just slows things down and gives you bigger files of the same quality as the lossless compressed. People were yelling at Sony for not giving them lossless compressed option, Sony finally did few years ago.

Yes, I saw that and read about it working on settings last night. My computer went gulp on those 128meg files, .
Can't imagine the files from 100meg cameras...

wait until you use Topaz which creates the even bigger TIF files. Unless you delete the TIF files after you are done with editing. I have an 8 TB hard drive, just added a 16 TB, the 8 TB drive is getting pretty full. Looking at 24 TB hard drive right now.

I will be adding that soon-

Years ago on Jim's advice I bought disk arrays(2 bays-SanDisk Pro) for all my backups. Works like a charm. I wish there was some software that would auto b/up when ever I edit on my computer without me dragging-n-dropping....But a low price to pay for a complete failure!
