Also as expected, it would seem that a Z7III would still be pointless in the current lineup without a very significant resolution increase beyond 45MP. With the Z8 at such a low relative price point, it already fills that gap for the most part.
Yep. I think the Z7 III should be that 60mp sensor, 4K 10-bit internal with Expeed7 and typical AF improvements. That way people get resolution, better video, and better AF. Pricing should be $2999 which puts it in a good position between Z6 III and Z8. The Z7 III would be the higher resolution camera, where as the Z8 will be resolution and superior video so it wouldnt step on the Z8. I'd imagine the sensor would be a BSI non-stacked sensor or partially stacked? There is room for the Z7 III for sure. Nikon can improve over the Z7 II without stepping on the Z8 for sure.
