This line has always had a 4/3 sensor. I'd wait for Panasonic's version. The previous D-Lux 7 was a rebranded Panasonic LX100 II, (and the same for the previous version). I'd imagine the Panasonic LX100 III will be out fairly soon. Maybe?
In any case, it's using a 4/3 sensor, but it's somewhat cropped, so the used area is less than 4/3 area. (why it's a 24mm equivalent instead of 20mm).
