Lucky enough to live in the path of totality for the 2024 solar eclipse. I eschewed taking pictures of the process and instead enjoyed some company and marvelled at the speed at which it became nearly night. Finally busted the camera out just as the real show started, took two photos, and then went back to watching the aurora without the solar glasses. Hope everyone gets to experience this once in their life. We were all talking about the "red dot" on the bottom of the moon...turned out to be a coronal ejection...simply amazing that we could see that with our bare eyes.
