This lens and the 12mm Touit have firmware updates you can download and update through the body (I have X-T5) no problem. My 32mm/1.8 came with latest firmware and functions well. Although I have not used it as much as my other lenses (I have too many 30ish mm lenses), I really do like the rendering of this lens and the 50mm macro that I also have as well. I got quite a deal for these two lenses on the used market (both like new). 12mm is too wide for me so I don't really have any interest in that one, but what examples I have seen with it...it looks nice as well.
