Ok, then Tim is right. I never have those enabled in camera, that could explain why. I only check/uncheck those lens corrections boxes after importing depending on the situations. The question though, is there any sony camera/lens combination that those distortion/vignetting corrections can not be disabled in camera? I doubt there is any.

Sony forces distortion compensation to be enabled for many lens - body combinations.

Sony forces distortion compensation to be enabled for many lens - body combinations. The specific combinations where it happens varies at least by format. The original NEX 3 and 5 cameras didn't support Lens Compensation, so of course they never applied anything. With other older cameras using one of the forced applied lenses was the only time the live view got distortion correction applied. Then Sony decided to apply distortion correction to the live view for all lenses when the setting was enabled--I think it was the III generation that happened.

Examples on A7RIV where Distortion Compensation cannot be turned off:
On Sony's Lens Compatibility site these lenses have the note, "The [Lens Comp.: Distortion] setting will be set to 'Auto'." I am surprised that many of the APS-C lenses are on this list.
If you check an APS-C body like the A6600 the older full-frame lenses listed above don't get distortion compensation forced enabled: 2/28, 1.8/55ZA, 4/24-70ZA, 4/24-105G, 24-240, 28-70, 4/28-135G
I haven't seen a third-party lens that got distortion compensation forced.
