Medici marble lions, there are two which were acquired as ornaments to their villa. They were moved to the current location at Loggia dei Lanzi in1789. The one pictured was completed in1598, the second dates to the second century.
Michelangelo's David was at this spot between 1504 -1873 when it was moved to The Accademia Gallery, super long lines. The duplicate was unveiled in 1910 and was recently renovated.
