Jim,

Not much differnece in performance that I can see. The coatings are different.
I had thought that the H version, with older coatings, would be better for IR work but in using the two I can't tell the difference.
Having said that I do tend toward the HC for both color and IR since that is the one I took apart and cleaned up the glass.
I had planned to do a side-by-side comparison but don't think I ever did.
