No way, wishful thinking. I don't believe that Nikon will get GS from Sony for some years from now. Heck they are only going to get 30fps RAW now that GS has been released. Probably in a firmware update this year. I believe the hardware has always been capable.
The Z6III will be specified and priced to compete with the A7IV category of camera. This is the high volume segment of the market. Nikon needs to become competitive there to rebuild market share. In that sense it is a more important release than any of Nikon's latest release cameras. The Z9/8, a d Zf are designed to apeal primarily to Nikon's existing user base and finaly convert its DSLR users to mirrorless. The Z6III must compete in a broader market and attract new users to Nikon. That is why such a big marketing effort is being made.
