In my case, the D850 is an irrelevant option because most of my glass is now native Z mount. If I found enough fault with my stacked Z9 sensor, I could (and would) buy back a Z7ii -- but I don't and thus so far am not interested in going backwards from the gains the stacked sensor provides.
But I respect others desires to shoot whatever pleases them for whatever reasons.
I NEVER SUGGESTED TO YOU OR ANYONE TO GO BACK TO THE D850.
Finally, I did read the OP's post and frankly he started it off with pretty aggressive and adamant posturing about his position being the only correct one, and that posture is probably what garnered a few of the more abrasive replies.

I think the real answer to this entire thread is, if the difference matters to YOU, then by all means continue! But at the same time, don't try and convince me that my choice is flawed for MY uses. Can we agree on that?
