Nothing like flying an open cockpit Bipe, miss mine. They are hot rods and there comes a time when you realize that certain ships have sailed in one's life and it's wise not to push the envelope. I sold mine because I came to grips with the reality that I'd never have the time to rebuild it, but at 74, even if they would insure me, it would be time to hang up the high performance biplane wings.The experience of building it and flying it hundreds of hours was incredible and the memories remain. Chandler would love for me to buy another Texan, but I apply the same caution there, I flew the T-6 250 hours and lived to tell about it, discretion is the better part of vlalor as they say.
