Not so much as a "cheap alternative", but it strikes me as a rendering that isn't quite up to the same level as a modern Leica ASPH, but between that and some vintage or pre-ASPH Leica (thinking about my 40 Cron).
14 aperture blades. Thinking this would play well on my monochrome for that more "organic" vibe. Head to head with my 35 Cron, the Cron might spank it on the MTF charts and microcontrast ... but, I don't think that's what catches my attention about it. It just seems a kiss more "organic" in rendering, without being overly soft. I don't usually get too intrigued by the "cheap" Leica knock-offs, but this one might be one to watch (along with the 28).
