Re: The Leica M11-P is expected to be released by November 2023
My M11 is just so close to perfect now for how I shoot it. I am trying to think what they could add that would compel me to upgrade.
IBIS? So far I am able to get nice crisp images without it. Maybe I could shoot a couple of stops slower shutter speeds and lower my ISO. But I am not having noise issues as it is. My M glass is between f/1.4 and f/2.0 so I usually have plenty of light.
Some sort of flippy LCD screen on the back? But, I shoot through the Range Finder 90+ percent of the time. The only time I shoot from the rear screen is landscapes or portraits on a tripod. Otherwise it is RF, or RVF for me.
Wireless charging? I am very happy with the USB-C for charging and downloading.
Bigger battery? Mine lasts days of shooting now. If I ever need to top off my USB covers me fine. I feel I wasted money on the 2nd battery. I bought it based on my M10-P experience only.
Better WiFi communication? Leica Fotos works great on the M11. In fact so good that if I ever want to shoot very low to the ground it works better than a flippy screen.
More resolution? No way am I interested in that.
Built in selectable RF or EVF? Hmmmm. The EVF would have to be exceptional good, and stable. It must not reduce the RF experience one little bit.
I can paint out my own red logo dot if I want.
I don't care about paint, or different engravings.
I wonder what they will come up with?
Anyone have ideas on what else?
