A follow up to me getting back into Profoto on Sony. Getting back meaning I used the A1 & A1x on my Nikon SLR and it worked fine. The Sony/Profoto pins are a serious issue IMO. I bought a Connect, Connect Pro, and have 2 A10's and a B10x. It seem to me Profoto has loose tolerances with it's fit on Sony. My Connect Pro has to be mounted a certain way for it to fire. bump it and it will not be connected with the pins and fail, even if I switch the transmitter to Manual it will not fire?! One of my A10s has a bent pin after using it twice. The only way this is a reliable system on Sony is NOT buying Sony units and running in Manual. I have an A1 Nikon that I never go rid of and it works in manual and fires every time. I've used Godox for over 18 months on Sony and none of my flashes or transmitters have bent pins. So if you don't need TTL and are not going to use a Connect Pro it could still work for Sony users...
