On my stroll on the boardwalk this afternoon, I came across this artist making painting of the boardwalk scene. I decided it would be an interesting exercise to do a photographic version of his painting.
He had the advantage of painting the light, placing people , objects, and choosing colors, just the way he wanted. I had to work with the flat light and the randomness of the real World. I also had to do a two shot hand held panorama to capture the full scene which he had the advantage of compressing into a narrower format. Still it was an interesting exercise for me which I enjoyed.
