I let myself get talked into doing a Fitness Model session for one of my best friend's girlfriend. I don't know how I keep getting talked into these things. I have absolutely no experience in this, and no idea how I am going to do it.
I do know that I will be trying to get by with a two or three strobe setup. So, I decided to take out my lighting kit and try some setups. I have not tried using any of my Leicas for strobe shooting, so thought I may as well give it a go to see how it works.
I am using a Godox remote trigger (X-ProS v1) and three Godox V860IIS flashes. These are all made for my Sony kit. I am pleased to say that as long as you are happy shooting this setup fully manual, it works exactly the same on my M11 as it does on my Sony A1. If course I can do TTL and other automatic things on the Sony, but not on the M11.
Anyway here is my handy head model "Mandy" that I used to test a simple Leica M11 2 light setup on. It is not my editing that makes her look plastic. She actually is plastic. I should have shot her from a little higher up ideally, but I was primarily focused on just testing the Leica/Godox setup. Mandy seems to be happy the way it is.
