Serge, I love getting to tag along via photos on your travels, and the stories from the places you visit.

Hi, everyone:

Great photos, everyone!

Rafael, excellent captures of the classics specially the shiny red Mustang. Too bad Ford has moved far away from the original concept.

Tolbooth Tavern ( ca 1591), Royal Mile Edinburgh.

Constructed to connect the Burgh of Edinburgh and Canongate and collect tolls from the passing traffic. It is rumored to be haunted with a shadowy figure knocking bottles off the tables and pictures from the walls. A chap accused of being a warlock was exorcised on the premises and died of fright shortly after the ordeal, yikes! The premises have also been used as a prison by Oliver Cromwell's guards and others.

The tavern does not look so spooky here. I should have visited and tried a house special, "Warlock Pie".

James, i am glad you enjoy the photos. The Tolbooth does have a bit of interesting and dark history which I was not aware at the time shutter clicks.

There is another pub, "The Last Drop" where death row prisoners enjoyed one last drink or pint. One can write books on the taverns of Edinburgh.
