I also own 300 PF and I don’t want to part with it. Such a small lens, F4, great for flowers etc, and 630mm F5.6 with TC 1.4+DX. Works on my Z8 also.

That and 400 4.5 don’t gap well. 500 does.

If 400 4.5 had better close up credentials like 300 has…i would have sold 3 and 5 and bought 400.

Other thing is, I don’t want to give up on my D850 either just because mirrorless is newer technology. They are just different ways of making pictures. D850 obviously can do and does everything. I enjoy the process involved in making pictures with a DSLR.

If i sell 500, i will be forced to sell D850 also. And its not that my 300/500 don’t work on Z8. They do. So its a beautiful back up body as well.

I think i should wait and let that 600/6.3 PF arrive hopefully and then take a call, if needed.

Haven’t bought gear for the longest time. The recent acquisition of Z8 has rekindled the fire.
