Sonyalphablog seems to have gotten one of the better lenses with no sharpness and few focus issues - includes a lot of sample photos.
Unfortunately the one I was going to get was lost in transit (just my luck). If I get a decent sample on an amazon warehouse deal in the near future (some are already sitting at 1120€) I'll see how much autofocus can be adjusted via the lens station. Sometimes a bit of calibration can rescue the back/front focus issues on these Samyangs, if they are consistent. I had a 135mm that I was able to calibrate when initially it missed focus at about 3 meters. On the flipside, a 50mm Mark 2 I had would focus so far forwards at a common portrait distance, it was unsalvageable.
