I always just used auto on EVF brightness but I think I remember people confirming that you can't adjust ERF patch brightness

My Fuji's remember my menu position unless you are in the "setup" section or turn it off. I never did anything to get this behavior.
Thanks for confirming this for me. I just figured out that if you're using adapted lenses, the frameline brightness can be manually. But if you're using a native lens, the camera's supposed to handle it automatically. That's probably why the OVF screen looks dimmer with a 'native' lens depending on lighting. But, with adapted lenses, you can crank up the frameline brightness up to +5 and that'll make the ERF brighter too!
That's the only way I've found so far to make the ERF brighter.
Hmm, my OVF framelines and ERF patch are very bright with adapted glass, brighter than with native. But my EVF brightness is just set to auto, perhaps I forgot how I set it that way? What setting did you change to amp up the OVF framelines?
