I can clearly see the burr and it probably caused the issue I experienced. Did you use sandpaper to flatten it out?
My deburring tool was too large, but I just used a small very hard tipped screw driver. I generally have a few of these screwdrivers for my old Nikkor lens repairs.... the drivers need to be shaved down to be quite sharp at the tip and then usually also to the correct width. To get the burr off one needs a hard sharp surface to rub along the burr and essentially cut/fold it off.
One can lightly finish the edges with some folded fine sandpaper... but I wouldn't do too much here so long as the lock pin falls into place.
