Turning to happier subjects, my Westcott rig performed beautifully this morning, simple, beautiful light quality and not a cord in sight. The minute I got finished I went on line to Westcott's site and ordered an egg crate for the 36" beauty dish, I think it will help direct the light where you want it in certain instances. All in all, very please with Westcott products. You know me, I was pulled toward Profoto when I began looking for battery powered strobes and I am sure that they are great, but one head and a battery is more that my four FJ400 heads/batteries/reflectors and grids. I've heard that Profit's service has gone downhill in the last few years too.
Anyway, look how clean and relatively inconspicuous this set up was.............The ThinkTank rolling case in the foreground holds one FJ200, four FJ400's/reflectors/batteries/colored gels/grids, charging cords and the transmitter unit for the camera.
