Mustang Air to Air: The Sequel

On a brighter and more hopeful note, I captured the retirement ceremony for Lt. Colonel Jeremy Boyd today, much of it with tears welling up in my eyes. The culmination of a quarter of a century of service to our country, a laundry list of accomplishments, commendations, and heroism, our friend Jeremy is the real deal. Candidly, as the ceremony progressed, it summarized what I already knew in my heart, Jeremy Boyd is one of those very rare individuals that strive for excellence in everything that they do, in life, education, being a marriage partner, parenting, creative avenues, military and civilian career paths, all encapsulated in a Faith that is unwavering and as strong as The Word of God itself.

When I left Jeremy early this afternoon I was gripped with two emotions, one was gratitude that The Good Lord would put someone of Jeremy's caliber in my life and make him one of my closest friends, the other was introspection and seriously wishing that I could rewind my life and have a do over so that I might, in some small measure match the steadfast character of the man that we honored today.
