I believe you captured something quite rare. Consolidated PB4Y Privateer, a patrol bomber used mostly by the US Navy. Yours is sporting US Coast Guard livery. It could be 66302 – based in Casa Grande, Arizona.

Similar, but I think it's a PB4Y Privateer. Still a Consolidated product, so very similar


Thank you, gentlemen. I took a second look and saw that Jim was correct but the stabilizer left me wondering.



Warbird Digest has a video of this Privateer on their FB page. The caption is: "Goss Hawk's P4Y-2G Privateer BuNo 66302 (N2871G) as she departed for the Davis-Monthan AFB Open House." That may be what fotoactvst saw.
