Did a group shot of the Winthrop High boys and girls hockey teams this afternoon. Both conference champions this year, combined record 34-3-1 (the girls are 18-0). Playoffs start next week. This will be for a banner at the rink.
Almost had a heart attack when I got back home. It was freezing rain, and our sloped driveway was slippery. I was worried about my footing and apparently not paying enough attention as I was taking my bag out of the back seat. Somehow out flopped the R5 fitted with a 24-70 f/2.8LII, hitting the pavement right on the face of the lens. The lens cap went flying, and I was dreading what I would see as I bent down to pick it up. Amazingly not a scratch. Even the lens filter is fine. Everything seems to work. Got lucky.
