Re: Leica M/X/T/S/Q/ SL Picture Thread

So one of the things I want to work on is getting up close, more random, more complex, and layered, with my street photography. Having watched a number of talks and videos with some of the more famous street photographers they often just quickly bring the camera up to their eye (or just point it) right in front of people and shot. The whole thing is over before people even know what is happening. I don't think I will be , or even want to be anywhere as aggressive and rude about this as Bruce Gilden (wild man, and disrespectful in my opinion), but I think my images would benefit from being less structured than they currently are.

This will require my refining some skills in zone focusing, and seeing opportunity in complex, moving environments. I am looking forward to the process, but am a bit anxious about how people will react. I am a big 6'5" guy and have to work to not seem aggressive and scare people even in normal circumstances. I did try this a couple of times yesterday just to see how people will react. So far, only one bad reaction where I told to delete or police would be called. Some people seem to actually get a kick out of it.

Below is one from yesterday. As you can see I was not Gilden close, but I was close. I gotta get over the keep everything level thing. A little more motion in an image would sometimes help. Plus the camera was up to my eye much much longer that I want it to be.
