Speaking about toys, I am a fan of the Nikkor 135mm 2.8 Q. Just like how it draws.

I have a Nikon label 135mm 2.8 Q factory ai converted but, although it looks fine in this picture, its cosmetics were not perfect.

So I spent the princely sum of $56 and bought a Nippon Kogaku labeled 135mm 2.8 Q, this time nearly perfect:

Moved the ai kit to the new older lens, and tested it good, now I have a perfect looking 135mm 2.8 Q. A heay well made lens with brass helicoids, great contrast and rendition, including OOF.

Test shot at f/5.6, My $56 Santa gift.

This one at 2.8 a while back in gator country, vary contrasty and sharp.
