Thank you Dan, that ,Eans a great deal to me. Autism is such an interesting malady. Downs Syndrome is immediately recognizable and has it's own unique symptoms. Autism has so many levels, guess that's why they cal it "The Spectrum", one can be "Autistic" yet be a genius , it is fascinating. We still don't know nearly enough about it, and there are all kinds of "theories" as to it's origins, some plausible, some ridiculous. My darling little subject is bright, has a wonderful personality, beautiful smile, she just has to deal with sensory stimuli and social pressure. This shoot taught me a lot, portrait photography of any variety requires developing a sixth sense for the subject/subjects, and the ability to relate quickly and easily with people is vital. I'll never look at a portrait shoot the same way again, this one taught me to be even more sensitive with regard to my subject. See "Old dogs and new tricks" it can be done.................
