Im in a mental debate. So I have the PZ 16-35 now and really like it on my A7c but I just got a Sony 20 1.8 from a friend for free but I really need like a zoom that goes to like 40 or 50 for some event work and having a 2.8 would be helpful. I have some options here sell both lenses get a 24-70/28-70 something. Trying to keep this under the 1k mark. Thought about this 20-40 and maybe grab a CV 15 again or keep the 20mm buy a 28-70 but im missing the super wide . Keep the 16-35 and sell the 20mm and get a Sigma 45/65 maybe

I have till Xmas to figure this out but One I have not been paying attention much to this , I have one foot maybe even both out the door of being a working Pro and frankly just don't want to spend a lot given im half out the door. Bottom line I made a long career out of this but IM DONE if you get my meaning. Sure I'll take a check from anyone but im not even looking for work. I have the A1 and I still need that unless the A7RV can take its place But need some answers on that cam first

Seems like a no brainer...

Sell the 20 (too limiting). Sell the 16-35 PZ (too slow). The 24-70 GM II is great... I have one too, on my A1. It's too bulky to be used on the A7C.

Buy the 20-40.

My choices are right in line with yours... I have my16-35 PZ on my A7C too. Great combo size wise.

I wanted to keep the same size profile... but to get 2.8 and have it be cheaper than PZ... for me it was an easy decision. My 16-35 PZ is listed.
