 San Juan Mountains of Colorado, Aspens in Full Array, 2022 | |
A first journey into the San Juan Mountains of southwestern Colorado for fall photography, I was overwhelmed by the beauty and magnificence of this landscape. The aspen were so brilliant and intense I kept thinking that this has got to be one of the most beautiful places on planet Earth for fall colors. I visited all of the recommended sites on the northern and western sides of the mountain range, including: "last dollar road", CR 7, Hwy 550, Silverton, Ouray, Telluride and Ridgeway. I also visited CR 12 which included Owl Creek Pass area and Cimmarron Rd, (to be revealed in an upcoming post). The following photographs illustrate some of the incredible beauty that I experienced.
