I don't think it's a sales issues as much as it is a production capacity issue though. I suspect it's not related to chip shortage, probably to Nikon's own ability to manufacture some very special glass elements. I could be wrong of course.
The "sales team" crack was more tongue in cheek, I totally get the production issue delay, (having waited 7 months already for my 400) but not the complete lack of supply (last 5 mths) to some countries here in the southern hemisphere, granted some Z400TC's are being shipped again to the US & EU.
