Yeah, I think that is a J-3 Cub called the Piper L-4A Grasshopper. (Also O-59). I have read some WWII books where the Army would be fighting in the interior of jungles where there was so much rain they were fighting in mud measured in feet. They couldn't get resupplied via trucks so they sent in some of these guys. The pilot would fly low then have to kick the boxes out since there wasn't room for a second person.
